5th World Congress on Industrial Process Tomography

3rd-6th September 2007

Welcome to the
5th World Congress on Industrial Process Tomography

This congress will be hosted in Bergen, Norway. It continues the series of successful congresses held in Buxton (UK), Hannover (Germany), Banff (Canada) and most recently Aizu (Japan). The congress is scheduled to take place on 3rd-6th September 2007.

Industrial Process Tomography is a growing field of technology for understanding complex multi-component and/or multiphase engineering processes. We continue to incorporate insights from medicine and from imaging techniques first developed for applications in medicine. We have initiated many additional modalities of tomography, and we learn from industrial applications in sectors such as pharmaceutical, food, mineral processing, oil/gas exploration and applications for seismology, geology and material structures. Scientists and Engineers working in all current and emerging sensing modalities, and in process engineering applications, are encouraged to participate.

The congress is organised by the VCIPT, in conjunction with the University of Bergen and co-sponsored by the Norwegian Society for Oil and Gas Measurement, Roxar the Visualization Society of Japan , National Instruments, the IET and the City of Bergen.
